We were hired to create a visionary museum experience that connects the the stories of local survivors to the diverse Los Angeles community. Variate worked closely with the museum staff, and architect, to design the overall content and interactive experience of the new museum.
This project included the design of many elements of the overall experience, including the database, content digitization workflows, website, audioguide, six interactive exhibits, and all print exhibits.
In 2011, the museum won two MUSE awards from the AAM including a Gold MUSE award for the best museum audioguide in the nation.
With an extensive background in architecture and software development, we see huge opportunities for virtual reality technologies to fundamentally change the way we design and experience spaces. Over the past few years, Variate has been working on a new software and business idea for the architecture market.
Through regular feedback with customers we’ve evolved the vision into what it is today.
